September is National Sewing Month! Heck Yes!
I don't know about you, but when I was a wee little girl, I LOVED tea parties. I loved dressing up in what ever weird thing I could find and drinking imaginary tea. This love of tea parties extended well into my teenage years. One of my high school friends would come over and we would have tea parties with real tea, in real china on my parent's patio. (Sans the crazy costumes)
I was so not cool in high school...
However, I am sure this love of tea parties comes from my Aunt Becky, who still hosts awesome tea parties to this day.
So, in celebration of National Sewing Month, my Aunt and I are hosting a Virtual Sewing Tea Party!
This is your chance to sew with me, play dress up (who wouldn't love that?), and show off your beautiful makes.
For the #SSteapartychallenge we will sew a tea party dress during the month of September. The challenge will start on September 1st and end on the last day of the month.
Here is how it works: Sign up for the sewing challenge by clicking below. You will get weekly emails with the challenge instructions, and sewing support.
The first weekend of October, my Aunt and I will host a live vintage inspired virtual tea party where you can show off your new dress, drink tea, and have a blast with us!
Doesn't this sound like sew much fun!
Here are some dress ideas to get you started for the challenge. You can choose from this list or pick your own favorite pattern.
